El gran baile de la vida began with an intense dream that marked a turning point in both my life and artistic practice. An enigmatic figure appeared, silently watching, with an ouroboros around its head—the ancient symbol of the eternal cycle of death and rebirth. In the weeks surrounding the dream, moths had repeatedly appeared inside my home. Only later, after the death of my mother, did the imagery acquire a profound and unexpected personal meaning. The dancers embody the other side of this awareness: even under the gaze of mortality, the dance must continue. Behind them, a wheel of zodiac signs, the sun and moon, and small mushrooms evoke cycles of time, transformation, decay and renewal. This became a pivotal work through which dreams, archetypal imagery and inner experience began shaping my visual language.
