Colla presents a dignified Andean woman as an embodiment of cultural pride, strength, and ancestral identity. Seated before a dramatic mountain landscape, she wears richly patterned garments, ceremonial jewelry, and a feathered headpiece that emphasize her noble presence. Her upright posture and distant gaze convey confidence and quiet authority, while the monumental scale of the figure gives her an almost timeless quality. Loaiza’s distinctive blue palette unifies the woman with the surrounding Andes, while subtle gold and coral accents bring warmth to the composition. Colla celebrates the enduring traditions, resilience, and beauty of the Indigenous peoples of the Andean highlands.
